What is up everybody? Welcome back to another episode of the Faithful Agent Podcast. I always say this, but Shaleigh Clark is with me today and she's an incredible guest. And I know I say that every time, but I actually mean it every single time. We've had a great conversation pre-show. I think you're gonna love hearing her passion, her heart, and all the things and experiences she's had. So I'm excited for y'all to listen to this episode. But before we start, as I told Shaleigh, I always do a Christian. Dad joke and I don't read them in advance so you can get my live reaction and Shaylee will find out if it's good or not So here it goes. man. uh Why did the Christian chicken go to the other side of the road? To get a cross. Oh wow Shaylee that's actually I don't know is that? That's you know, all right That's awesome. I'm gonna teach my kids that. So I gotta tell you a quick funny story, Shaley, because I just got back late last night. took my wife and our five kiddos, we took them to Orlando, excuse me, for a week. And we did one day at Disney, but we did one day at Disney Springs also. Well, a couple years ago, Shaley, in my real estate business, we didn't have the podcast. Gosh, this was probably 2019 maybe, 2020, I can't remember. But for my real estate business, Shaylee, I would do a joke of the week on my Facebook page. And I did it for like six years in a row. And finally my wife just said, hey, you don't need to do this anymore, it's okay. I was like, do I not? I felt so much relief not having to do it. Well anyways, we're in Disney Springs and there's this uh employee right outside of Starbucks who's just telling these hilarious jokes. And I'm like, this guy is awesome. I need to go get him on my joke of the week, right? And everything he's saying is hilarious. It's family friendly, whatever. So I go up to him and I go live on Facebook and I'm like, hey, you know, whatever. I do this joke of the week. I'm in Virginia. Can you do this for me? And he's like, absolutely. And then he tells this really uncomfortably off color joke. And I just was like, thank you. And I didn't know at the time you could delete Facebook live. And so it goes live. And I'm like, this is so uncomfortable that he was telling all these awesome family jokes that just off-color joke. I'm like, bro, that is not what I wanted. Oh, so sometimes jokes can backfire, I guess is the moral of the story, Shaley. So agents, write that down, right? Sometimes jokes can backfire. But Shaley Clark with us today, I'm so excited that you're here. You're in Northern Colorado Springs, just south of Denver, and you're a realtor, and you lead the Door Group. And we're gonna dive right into this, because dor, D-O-R, you said is a Hebrew word for generation or legacy. So just kick us off right there, Shaley. Why the dor group? Talk to me about generation and legacy. Why does that matter to you? Yeah, I think em when you look at our business, like none of it's for us, all of it's God's anyway, and you look at our business, and your business can only be as healthy as you are. I don't say successful, I mean healthy. And we want to pass on that health to the next generation of realtors, the next generation as far as our kids go. So when you think about faith, family, finances, we want all of those things to be in alignment with. the Lord's will. And generation also, when you think about Moses, he led the Israelites his entire life, well, almost his entire life. And he never got to enter the promised land. He worked to bring them out of slavery. He worked to fight generational curses. He worked constantly to build something that was greater than himself, but because of his disobedience, he wasn't able to enter the promised land. And so I think a lot of us are fighting. to build something that is greater than ourselves, even if that means that our children are the only ones that benefit from it. And so it's worth it. It's worth it to build something that our children benefit from. It's worth it to build something that will outlast you, that you can leave to your kids, to your church, um to whoever comes along next. We want to make sure that Jesus, his name, is greater than our name. so um generation to me and passing on that legacy is so much greater than just wealth. It is wealth. It is financial. But it's also faith and family. So good. You know, I think it's been, uh and obviously you've been thinking about this longer than this too, right? And I think many of our audience has as well, but I found it interesting, Shaili, you know, uh recently with the assassination of Charlie Kirk. this is not political, I don't talk politics on the show, I'm not going to, but for whatever reason, at least for my wife and I, right? We didn't even follow him that much, but he's young like we are. I mean, I'm 38. And so it's made us... pause and say, mean, this really is going to go away at some point. It's not that we weren't aware of that, right? As believers, like, hey, your life is literally going to vanish one day. It's going to be gone. And there is one real legacy that you can leave. And it's you can't be here to do anything about it. Right. What are they going to say about you? What are you going to leave behind when that happens? And so for us, at least this idea of legacy and generation is more real because he didn't think he was going to get shot and killed that day. Right. None of I mean, how many people there's no way to pull this, right? But how many people thought today's the day I'm gonna die and that's the day they died? We don't know and so there's got to be purpose as we go along. So you come from this background of working at Compassion International, right? Which is for sponsoring children. We did that for years and years and years. Amazing ministry and then our kid was 18 and now he moved on which is awesome. Awesome kid. And uh you did that for a long time, but then you wanted something that was going to allow you to work and make money, but also be home with the kids. you know, talk to me about that transition period, how you got into real estate. Yeah, so my husband and I started out kind of at entry level compassion and worked my way up. But when I started at entry level, my husband was also entry level in the sports industry. Neither of our jobs made any money. So we were like, how are we ever going to retire? We are never going to be able to set this down. And we thought, OK, if we save up, we buy a house, we rent that one out, and then move, maybe that can be our retirement plan. Interesting, okay. while we were at Compassion, we saved up every penny. Not we were at Compassion, while I was at Compassion. So we bought our first house, lived in it two years, pulled a HELOC, a home equity line of credit on that house, bought our second home, moved into our second home, rented that one out, and then we've done that multiple times over. So um if you buy it as a primary residence, you know you only have to put 5 % down. It's much more beneficial to be able to move yourself while you can. So when I was at Compassion, I left on maternity leave and then my daughter started having some significant health issues. And I thought, okay, Lord, is this your sign that I need to set this down? I love Compassion. Truly, the longer I was there, the more I agree with the ministry. So a lot of times when you like work for a ministry or you work for a church, you're like, I'm out, I'm out. Yeah. Yeah, but not with compassion. um I truly believe in what they are doing. I loved my time there. And so my daughter's health issues are what made me set it down. And I was able to set it down because I knew our rental income could cover enough of my income for me to stay home for a year. And then at that point, we were like, OK, we'll have to figure it out then. So during that year, I had nine family members and friends ask me to teach them our self-management and how to build their portfolio, how to move. And so I showed them our whole system, helped them move. That realtor loved me because I did all of the work and they just did the contracts. ah And I helped those families start building their legacy. Right? And then my husband, as wise as he is, just looked at me and said, honey, you're working out of purpose, which is beautiful, but you're working for free. Like, what if you could get paid to do this? And so that is when I got my license. I got my license a little bit after my daughter turned one. and she experienced a miraculous healing, praise God. And so it allowed me the time to then work. And so that started my business was teaching people how to rent out their primary residence, move up into a move up home and then self-manage the rentals. Yeah. I would love to have somebody like you in my database too. ah Right? It just like just keep bringing the people. It's fine. You tell them what to do. We'll write it up. I'll even have my assistant write it up. I won't even do anything except. I was running the numbers on all the houses and I mean I was doing everything other than the contract. you owe me a car, I think is what you should be telling that agent. Don't give me a Popeye gift for $5. You need to buy me a car. Okay, I love that. All right, so you jump into real estate, things going on with your daughter, praise God for her healing, and you jump into the world of real estate, but not even necessarily to build a real estate business. You're just helping people do exactly what you had been doing and are now earning the commission on, which makes sense. That's great and that's wisdom. When did this idea of door, D-O-R, right, again, when did this idea of legacy and generation start to take hold with you? Well, I think that's the origination of my whole real estate business. uh So the only reason I ever got my license was to help other people start their investment portfolio, be able to move up. A lot of people don't feel like they have the freedom to do that. They feel stuck in the current home that they're in. And so, yeah, one of my very, very best friends, I helped them start their investment portfolio that year that I was off. And she's able to stay home with her kids now because of the rental income that she has. And so, I mean, that impact is something that greatly affected me too in saying like, my gosh, I can help more people do this. Like I can free up people's time to whatever the Lord is calling them to. If that's working, then that's working. But if that's staying home with their kids, if that's homeschooling, if that's working part time, if I can help people free up their time to be free for whatever the Lord calls them to, then that is the legacy that I want to leave. so, Door really was born out of what I was already doing in my real estate business. I just, had a moment where... I was praying at the beginning of this year. The Lord gave me the image of a bow and arrow. He's pulling me back to point me in another direction. And I just realized how many real estate agents are burning out, how many of them are really struggling in their health, uh really struggling in their boundaries, and are not leaving a good legacy with their business. And I just feel like God is pulling me back in transactions. Well, I say he's pulling me back. He hasn't really pulled me back. He will pull me back. He'll pull me back in transactions. He'll point me in another direction, and he'll lead me to cause that generational impact amongst agents. that door started just at the beginning of this year. That's when I started my free Bible study writing it. I started this year in Joshua. and was just stuck. I could not get out of Joshua. And I was like, God, what do want me to do with this? And so I just started writing a Bible study, not having anyone in mind. And then after writing it, God was like, this is for real estate agents. And so I opened it up. I only posted two stories about it and had 56 people sign up for it. so led that. And then I'm going to continue writing because it just flowed out of me so naturally, the mentorship and spiritual discernment. So I'm just going to keep doing it. I'm going to keep doing what I feel is obedient to what God is asking of me in this season. I love that. mean, okay, so there's multiple things there, right? I'll go back to first helping other people recognize, like I love the story of your friend who was able to stay home because you would help them figure this income process out, right? Like this is where I think that we often forget, I'll tell a story of a couple years ago. I don't remember when it was honestly, but I'd been doing 50 homes a year and our audience knows and I've been fortunate to sell a lot of homes, but I got into this point. I think it was September, October, maybe Shailie kind of the time frame we were recording and I'd made enough for the year. I was was fine like and so I originally thought, OK, I'm going to. just kind of chill for the next two and a half months, or two months or whatever it was gonna be for the rest of the year, which is okay. I was gonna spend time with my family. I wasn't just gonna do nothing, right? And sit there and sleep in every day, but that does sound amazing with five kids. But... uh But I was thinking like, okay, I'm just going to take my foot off the pedal. Well, I remember feeling the conviction of, hey, this is great. The Lord's provision for you, Gar, that's awesome. But what about if the Lord wants to use you to help provide for others too? Now, I'm not. Even in my own home, I'm not the provider, right? The Lord is the provider. Yes, I play a role and my job is going out there and the Lord uses that job to create provision for my family. I'm not the one that provides. I'm not even the provider for those in my church or anything like that. So I don't mean that I get to play that role. That's the Lord's role. However, I felt the conviction of He wants to use me to go create income that can support other people because we're in an industry where it's, mean, nobody else that I know in my church locally could go make $10,000 today, but I could, because I'm in real estate, right? Those things happen. And so it was this really cool shift for me, Shaili, to say, hey, excellence is not just about you going out there and building a business for yourself and taking care of your family. That's good and right and true and biblical. This is also about what else can I do? What's the ripple effect of my excellence in my pursuit of that? And so, long story short, kept working and the Lord's kindness brought us more deals, right? And so, We were able to write a check to friends of ours who don't even know still and they will never know for a lot of money who were adopting kids. had 15 years of unexplained infertility, couldn't figure it out. He's a police officer. don't, they didn't have money. And this is crazy expensive. And so we were able to write a check in through our church, give it to them, right? And what a blessing that was. And so I think that we... tend to get so caught up in ourselves, and I get it, there's agents struggling just to make money, and I understand those things. You do need to put your own oxygen mask on first, that's definitely true, but then thinking about beyond that, what is this legacy and this impact that we can have, right? So you talked about pre-show at least too, and you and I agree in so many of these things, but the reality 100 years from now, no one's even gonna remember our name, or can you tell me the name of your great-great-grandfather? Why does that matter? Like talk to me about, When we think in the in terms, when we think in this broad long term when I'm not here anymore, why does that matter? How does that shape what we're doing today? Yeah, we're called to be kingdom-minded all the time. All the time. Everything that we do should be focused on the kingdom of God. And so when you think about 50 years from now, I doubt anyone will know my name. And I'm OK with that, as long as they know the name of Jesus. Nothing matters more to me than the name of Jesus and the impact that he can have on people's lives. I can have an impact on people's lives. I can't save people. And so I love what you were talking about, about like, OK, I got to this point where I had enough. Right? Like, what is enough? But then after that, I multiply my talents. Right? And so I think we need to help people see the idea of what is enough and not focus on that lifestyle creep that can come along with real estate. It's like we get a big chunk of money, and we're like, great. What can we do with it? It's like, OK, we need to take that money and say, what impact can we have with it? Can we be radically generous? How can we involve our kids? in the generosity, but yeah, like no one will know our name, but they may know the impact of the kingdom of God through us. And that is far greater, that is far more important. So I love what you did in saying like, I got to have enough. And I thought, okay, is this my season of rest? And you said, no, it's time to multiply my talents. I love that, Gary, I think that's awesome. so cool, it wasn't me, right? I was ready to just coast. The Lord convicted me in that. But we see that we see their child every Thursday at Bible study at our house and every Sunday. You know, like what? Who am I to say, well, I'm just done now. The Lord's given me what I need. And let's just let that be enough. You you even look through scripture and this is why I love your idea of legacy of generation. You see throughout scripture, but let's talk about Apostle Paul. Well, Paul was, yeah, he was a tent maker. He was trying not to put burden, right? But also the reality when he went to those towns, they were providing for him. There had to be a means of provision of somebody bringing in. It's just like the way we support pastors and elders and leaders in our church, right? There had to be a means of provision of which we were supporting other people. And I do think that those that are listening to this podcast, right, we're entrepreneurs and we're entrepreneurial by nature. Now, you might not feel that way right now. You're like, well, business is not going well, whatever. This is hard, right? It's also hard to work a nine to five. It's also hard for someone to tell you what to do. It's also hard to be captain how much income you can have. Like all of it's hard. Just choose which one you're gonna pursue, right? Based on wisdom discernment too. But the reality is as entrepreneurs, we have this unique ability to go build something and create opportunity for ourselves and create income for ourselves. And you talked about this earlier and I want you to talk about it again, but know, a pre-show you did. It doesn't mean you have to sell 50 homes, maybe 15 is right, and that's good and right and godly because your feet are where you want it to be. But the reality is, if we are in pursuit of this industry to say, this is just for me, how do I make a better life for my family? How do I make more free time for my family? Time, money, freedom, all these things that I want. I would say that's an awesome question, and I'm really proud of you. You should be asking that question. But don't forget the second question of, once I pursue and achieve through being excellent at what I'm doing, now what could I do that the Lord might have for me? I love that you gave the bow and arrow example, right? Of, all right, now the Lord's about to point me somewhere else. When we launched the Faithful Agent, Shaleigh, we already had a podcast called Serving Not Selling, it was doing really well. But then we realized, man, no one's talking to us, like specifically the Christian agent community. And so we kind of had that same concept and it's, you my mom passed away and so I just started asking the Lord, who do you want me to serve? and he made it really clear, want you to serve Christian agents. Okay, I don't know what that means or what that looks like. We're just gonna go in that direction and kind of see what the Lord does. Feels very similar to kind of where you are with the door group, right? You start this Bible study, is it for real estate agents right now? Like talk to me about how you get into using really your real estate business also as ministry. Kind of talk to me about that. Yeah, so it's specifically for real estate agents. I have had some other entrepreneurs reach out, and they're welcome, I mean, to have the Joshua study and go through that. um I just, have it on my stand store so people can download it. It's not, no cost. I just want people to have access to the Bible. And I'm not a theologian. I'm not a scholar. I'm just a friend going through the Bible with you. You know, it's just, it's what the Lord was revealing to me. And I think it's helpful for other people's business. But right now it's just for real estate agents. and we meet once a week, Thursday mornings. I love this group. It's, it's an incredible group where of all different brokerages, no need to be a part of a certain brokerage. Um, just pouring into one another this round. we're starting a new round of Bible study actually this Thursday. Not sure when this will release, Thursday we're starting a new round and we're going to be talking about Sabbath because as real estate agents, we're really bad about boundaries around our time. That's true. It's okay. I'm gonna ask you this question, because I would love your opinion then, you talking about Sabbath, because I agree with you a thousand percent. uh Well, my assistant posted while I was gone, it was something that I often say, is you don't have to work weekends to succeed in real estate. And she posted on Facebook, and people got really bad. I mean, it went crazy, right? And it was like different groups and whatever. And it was, well, you know, so many comments that immediately instead of like, hey, how do I do that? You it was, well, you must be a terrible agent. You must not do whatever and all the things. I'm like, all right, this is just funny at this point. But this idea of protecting your Sabbath, right, the Christian agent, the one who who recognizes that we aren't working for provision because he has promised to provide. We're working from the trust that he is going to provide. And then our pursuit is about excellence in what he calls us to. Right. So therefore you have the freedom to take a Sabbath. Why don't we do that? What does that look like? What is your challenge to us as Christian agents? Talk to me through what you literally what you just said. Yeah, so the Jewish culture, the day starts at sundown and then goes into the next day until sundown. That's a day. And so even as real estate agents, as we're looking at our rhythms, like if you think about your evening, what are you spending your evening on? What are you doing to prepare for the next day? A lot of us are working in the evenings. A lot of us are catching up on things that we haven't done. A lot of us are. watching TV, a lot of us are doom scrolling, we're not preparing well for the next day. And our day actually starts in the evening. So when you think about Sabbath, it's not a matter of it has to be on a Saturday or it has to be on a Sunday or it has to be on a Friday. Traditionally, it was on a Saturday. But um as an agent, the way that I am creating these rhythms is I'm exchanging with another agent. And so for me, like I'll take one day this week, and she'll take my showings or any fires that come up. And then whenever her Sabbath day is, I'll take any fires that come up. And so you have to link arms with one another. Hebrews 12, talks about, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that entangles and run with perseverance. I don't think you can run with perseverance without the cloud of witnesses. We were never meant to run this alone. And so your post that's like, hey, you don't have to work on weekends, and people lost their minds. A part of not working on weekends, is having support so that you don't have to work on weekends. But that means someone is working on weekends. So what does rest look like for those people, for the people that you are having fill in those gaps for you? So you just have to figure out your structure, your rhythms in a way that honors your rest and the health that the Lord desires for you in your business. God wants rest for you. He is a good father. He wants rest for you. but he also is asking you in that preparation for your rest to do the hard work. So I think a lot of us are like, we'll do a little work here, we'll do a little work here, we'll do a little work here, and we'll never rest. And it's like, no, you're preparing for that rest. It takes a lot of work to get to the point where you can say, I don't work weekends, right? It takes a lot of preparation for that to That's good. You said earlier, maybe at the very beginning, Shaili, business is only as healthy as you are. You didn't say it's only as successful as you are. made that distinction. What does that mean? Yeah, so your business can only ever be as healthy as you are. And yes, not as successful. We know a lot of really unhealthy people in real estate that are very successful, but they are dying on the inside. Yes. And so I don't want a successful business at the cost of my family. We can't forget who we're building the business for while we're building the business. And so that's where door comes in. It's generational. And so if you're burning your house down in order to build your business, That is not a God honoring business at all. You need to be healthy and grow a business that is healthy and understand that God is our provision. He is our provider. And when God opens a door, we can walk through it. And when God closes a door, we aren't meant to force our way through. So it's just a matter of understanding that our health impacts everything, especially our business. What do you, and when you say health, what do you mean specifically? Are you talking about physical, spiritual, emotional, all the things? All the things, we are whole humans. So um faith, family, fitness, finances, um all of those things. So we are meant to take care of our bodies as the temple. We are meant to take care of our spirits. We are meant to take care of our minds. We are meant to take care of our families. And so it causes us to really evaluate the structure that we have in our business, in our lives, the boundaries that we have um with our clients, with our family, with our friends. What does that look like? My husband and I, we sat down, what was that? About a year ago and went through, yeah, it was about exactly a year ago actually. We went through how many evenings we were spending as a family, having family dinner. And with my business, I do work with both sellers and buyers. And so I was having a lot of showings in the evenings or appointments in the evenings. I was leading students at our church. My husband does private baseball lessons or small group baseball lessons one night a week. We led a small group. And then he was an overseer at our church. And so we were looking at all the evenings that we had spent that month truly just as a family. And it was five. And we thought, this isn't OK. Our kids aren't even in sports yet. We need to figure this out before the rug comes out from under us and we have sports put into the play, right? uh We said, OK, God, all of these things are good. These are things that honor you. But what do you have for us? Just because something is good doesn't mean God has that for you. Doesn't mean he's asking you to lead in that way. Just because you have the ability and you think you have the capacity doesn't mean that you're meant to take something on. And honestly, sometimes when you take something on, you're taking an opportunity from someone else. And so. Let your yes be in alignment with where God is calling you instead of just things that are good because God has other people he's calling to fill those seats. Yeah, it's good. mean, we talk a lot on this show, right, about 2 Corinthians being super clear. There's the different parts of the body and it is we we we coming back to our industry now people in general, but we operate in an industry in an industry that says, you might be a foot, but you got to learn to be a hand also. Right. And you probably need to be a mouth. And you're like, oh, OK, well, I guess I need to be all these things. Well, the Lord very specific. No, we're not. This is not a church. We're not talking about that. But inside the walls of the church, the Lord made it clear. I gifted you in this way and you in this way and you in this way. And you're meant to work together. You're not meant to be one thing, one person that can accomplish all of these things. That's not even what I'm calling you to do. You don't even have that capability. And that's, in my experience, that's probably the hardest thing to protect yourself from, right? I have to ask myself a lot and I still struggle at this, but what is traction and what is distraction? Right? And if I don't know what the end goal is, which is looking at how did the Lord wire me, you know, the specific ways that when I'm teaching or I'm doing this, the reaction I get that is, okay, maybe this is something that I'm good at versus something I want to be good at. ah It's can I do this in the context of still making sure I'm present with my family the way I should be? All of the things. If I don't understand what the end game is, and it's going to constantly be for the rest of our lives trying to really understand what is it the Lord specifically is calling me to. But if I don't know what that is, I don't know what traction or distraction is because something pops up and like, well, that sounds good. Why would I say no to whatever? I give an example a lot of like this speaking opportunity I had, they were gonna pay and it was awesome, it was super cool. Well, it fell on a seventh week off with my family, which is our scoreboard, our audience heard me talk about these things. And so the answer had to be no, right? And so that became a distraction because I had clarity, enough clarity, I'm not great at it. enough clarity to say this is the end game. So therefore, as good as that sounds, the answer is no. And that's how I honor the Lord by saying no to that specific thing. Sounds like y'all were going through that similar process, right? How do we understand, Shaylee, what we should be saying yes to and what we should be saying no to? Because I think that's a struggle for most of us. One is being in the Word on a consistent basis. um I think a lot of times we think of quiet time as like getting an alignment, but then it stops at us. Our quiet time, our solitude is not meant to be just self-serving. It's meant to be hearing from the Lord and what He has for us. And so there's a difference in like spending time in Scripture and solitude. I won't get into that too much, but you have to make sure that you're in Scripture. You have to make sure. um At the beginning of this year, Psalm 126 and 127, spoke to me, know, um those who sow in tears will reap a harvest in joy. And um I had sown a lot in tears. And I'm not saying don't work hard. Like we are called to work hard. If God is calling us to something, work with excellence. But to understand alignment of where God wants you, you have to actually be available to him, to his spirit and to his speaking to you. So that's where a lot of Sabbath comes in too. Right? You have to make time for him, make space for him to hear. em So yeah, I don't know if that answers your question as a whole, but making sure that you're in alignment. And when you are thinking, OK, I can do this task. I really hate it, but I can do it. And then you could hire it out. I think in our industry, we hear a lot of people that say, OK, if you could hire it out and that person can get it to 80%, then you can get it the rest of the 20 % of the way. I think that is bull. I think that's bull. I think if I'm a foot, like you said, and someone else is a hand, and I hire that hand to do it, they're going to be better than me. They're going to do that task better than me. And so I think we need to break that limiting belief of, if I hire this out, it's only going to be 80%. How prideful. How prideful is that to think that you're the best at doing every piece of your business? And that that wouldn't be a blessing for someone else to do. The task that I hate doing, someone else may just like eat up. They may love it. And so I think it's like getting out of your own pride, listening to what God wants for you, finding the right people. But you have to be in alignment with the Holy Spirit. And you can't be in alignment with him if you aren't spending time with him. That's good. And I love what you said too, right? And I'm going to give you an opportunity to share how people can get involved. Mm-hmm. being surrounded by the cloud of witnesses, right? We're not meant to do this alone. There's clarity in why the Lord called us to be in church. There's clarity in why He called us to be in fellowship with one another. Again, this faithful agent is not a church, guys. If you take this and listen and read whatever we have or you get involved with Shaly's Bible study, awesome, it's amazing. It doesn't replace the local church. Please find a good local church. That's what you're called to covenant with, those members there. But... If they want to get involved, Shaylee, because these are things that we should be doing, right, on a local level, on a national level, whatever it is, as agents, there is a difference where you show up to a place where they not only understand your heart, but they also understand your work. There is a little bit of a difference there, right? There is a joy that is found in somebody comes in and they understand what you're talking about, that crazy client, and it's like, yeah, I get it, because that's the life I'm living now. So how do they get involved with something like that, Shaylee? Or how would they connect with you? What would you like them to do if they're like, man, I'm so on board with what Shaylee's talking about. I want to dive deeper into that. How would they get in touch with you? Yeah, connect with me on Instagram. That's the easiest way. I'm at Shalee Clark. That's my handle. So within my Instagram, I have a Stan store. You can sign up for our Bible study there. It's free. It will always be free. That's not something that I will ever charge for. It's a group of not specific brokerage agents. I think I shared that before, but it's just, it's a great space to meet once a week. It's just an hour once a week. And I know sometimes it's like, how will I make that work? You, you can make it work. you can make that boundary around your business. um So yeah, that's where I would encourage people to find me is on my Instagram. Connect via Stan's store if you want to be a part of that Bible study. Awesome, and it's S-H-A-Y-L-E-E Clark. And that'll be in the show notes, everybody, so you can go check that out. But Shayla, I wanna give you one final word, because you've talked about legacy and the door group and all these things that you've spoken so well on. Leave us with one thought, right, or multiple thoughts. When somebody asks me that as a side note, I'm like, I don't know, how do I come up with one thing to say? But your final pitch on why it matters, legacy matters, why as believers we need to be thinking long. term, not just what's happening right now today. Why does that matter? So I've been in Joshua this year, like I mentioned, and Joshua was a nobody. He just believed God more than the other spies. So when the Israelites were led into the desert, then Moses sends 12 spies to spy on the land of Canaan to see if they can conquer it. There's giants in the land. So the 10 come back, they tell Moses it's not possible. Joshua and Caleb come back and say it's possible. They saw the same giants, but they knew God's promise was greater. And so when they entered into the promised land in Jericho, they were led by Joshua just because his faith was greater than the others doubts. I want to be someone who my belief is greater than others doubts. And I'm sure a lot of those soldiers that were marching around the walls of Jericho thought Joshua was crazy and didn't believe God yet. I want to be someone that people can think I'm crazy. But they follow because my belief is that loud. And then they get to enter the promised land too. It's good. Love it. Shaylee, thank you so much for coming on. I love your heart in that. I absolutely encourage agents to go check out what she's doing with the Bible Society Connect with You on Instagram. If anything, agents, you know my heart. It's just for us to be in fellowship with other Christian agents. Go be in fellowship with Shaylee too. I am not a huge lover of social media necessarily, but it's an amazing tool to connect with people all across the country and the world. And that is a huge blessing. And so go follow what she's doing. Go be part of it. And better yet, go ask her how to start your own, because this is not about her. It's not about me. None of us are going to be able to accomplish what the Lord's trying to do in our industry alone. We all have to step up and have a little bit of boldness to say, what would happen if I started Bible study? Maybe 56 people won't sign up in the first two days. or first two stories, that's fine. Maybe two will. And guess what? You're judged on your faithfulness, not the size of the group. And so please be in pursuit of that. Faithful agents, be in prayer of, Lord, what else do you want for me to do? Not just sell more homes, so that's good and right. How do I go pursue other agents? How do I pursue X, Y, and Z? Teach other people how to invest or whatever the scenario is. I don't know, Shaili doesn't know. Go ask the Lord. He already knows and he already has a plan for you. And so go be in pursuit of that. Shaili. Such a great encouragement in that. I appreciate your heart and legacy and all the things you shared. Faithful agents, we love you. I hope this was an impact. If it was, share it with a friend and we will see you next week.
