Does your business look great on paper, but your work-life balance and peace at home feel off?
I’m so glad you’re here.
The Faithful Agent is a podcast for real estate agents who want to grow a successful business without burning out or losing what matters most. This show helps you build real estate systems and structure that put you back in control of your time—so you can grow your income, stay present at home, and experience real peace in business.
Inside the podcast, you’ll learn how to:
- Build systems and leverage that help you sell more homes without working more hours
- Create predictable income for realtors so financial pressure doesn’t follow you home
- Replace burnout and the real estate grind with intentional, faith-driven business growth
The goal isn’t just becoming a more successful realtor.
It’s building a business and schedule you actually enjoy now—not someday—one that lets you win at work without losing what matters most.
Hey, I’m Garrett—husband, dad of five, and high-producing real estate agent.
For years, I chased the industry’s definition of success—more deals, more money, more recognition—while quietly missing family dinners and date nights. I was productive, but I was becoming a burned-out realtor, and my faith and peace were taking a back seat.
I realized that if I wanted real freedom in this business, I couldn’t just work harder—I needed a solid framework, better structure, and smarter real estate systems.
So I built a plan that honored my faith and my family, not just my production goals. A few simple, intentional strategies allowed me to grow my business, sell a high volume of homes, and still be present at the dinner table every night.
Now, through realtor coaching and this podcast, I help other real estate agents do the same.
If you’re ready to build structure that honors God—so your business can grow while your family still gets the best of you—you’re in the right place.
So grab your coffee, dust off that Bible, and let’s dive in.

Most real estate agents end their workday exhausted, wondering where the time went — and with almost nothing meaningful to show for it. The culprit isn't laziness. It's reactivity. In this Quick Cut, Garrett breaks down the simple three-part morning framework he followed for years that allowed him to consistently outperform nearly every agent in his market — not by working more hours, but by owning the right hours. Called the Three L's — Learn, Lead Generate, and Launch — this framework is repeatable, flexible, and built for agents who want to stop chasing their day and start directing it. If you've ever felt busy but unproductive, this episode is the reset you didn't know you needed.
Key Takeaways:
1. Reactivity is the silent productivity killer — and most agents never see it coming. The moment you pick up your phone and start scrolling texts, emails, and notifications, you've already handed ownership of your day to someone else. Garrett makes the case that the speed-to-lead culture — the belief that you must be available 24/7 to have good customer service — actually trains agents to surrender control of their own businesses. The fix isn't working harder. It's deciding, before the chaos starts, that you are the one who gets to tell your day where to go.
2. The Three L's — Learn, Lead Generate, Launch — can be done in as little as 60 minutes. Garrett's original rhythm was 9:00–10:00 (Learn), 10:00–11:00 (Lead Generate), 11:00–11:15 (Launch). But the framework scales down. Even 20 minutes per block — just one hour total — produces the same transformation: a sharpened mind, a moved-forward business, and an intentional plan for the rest of the day. The point isn't the exact time. The point is doing all three before the day gets loud.
3. Reading for one hour a day compounds into 1,000+ hours of learning over five years — and you can't outgrow your own thinking. Garrett leans on Einstein's principle: you can't solve a problem at the same level of thinking that created it. Scrolling social media is not the same as growing your mind. Reading, watching targeted training, engaging with new ideas — that's what expands your capacity. Your business is capped by your thinking. Grow the thinker and the business follows.
4. Lead generation done before distractions is a completely different activity than lead generation done after. When Garrett lead generated from 10 to 11, before texts piled up and showing requests came in, he was operating with full focus and zero excuses. He points to a key principle that the most productive agents he's ever coached weren't more talented — they were more intentional, and almost always more intentional with their mornings. Consistency beats creativity every time. Predictable input into a system beats unpredictable input into no system.
5. The Launch block — just 15 minutes — is what separates drifting from directing. This is the most underrated part of the framework. Before your day starts, review your calendar, identify who needs follow-up, and decide what actually matters today. The goal isn't to control every hour — it's to align your day with your priorities instead of your pressures. If you launch your day, you might still deal with fires. But you've already pushed your mind and your business forward. You already won.
6. The compounding effect of this framework is where the real advantage lives. One good morning is nice. A thousand of them — done consistently over years — is how agents build businesses that seem untouchable. Garrett ran the Three L's for years and accumulated over 1,000 hours of learning and 1,000 hours of intentional lead generation. That's not a tactic. That's a competitive gap that's nearly impossible for reactive agents to close. Success rarely happens by accident. It happens through intentional rhythms, repeated over time.

Most agents lose their day before they even started. They wake up reactive notifications, emails, random
calls, social media problems, chaos, and by noon they've been busy for six hours but accomplished
almost nothing meaningful. For years, though, I followed a simple framework that changed everything
for me. I call it the three L's learn, lead, generate, and launch. Every morning, one hour reading and
sharpening my mind. One hour lead generating and moving my business forward. 15 minutes
intentionally telling my day where it was going instead of letting the day tell me. And by 1115 in the
morning, I had usually already been more productive than most agents would be all day. The goal is
simple control your day before noon. All right, faithful agents, if you've been listening to any of the quick
cuts lately, you've heard some of the funniest and best Christian pickup lines that are out there that I
could find because I'm running out of Christian dad jokes and I'm trying something new. And if you like
it, leave a review. If you hate it, keep it to yourself. But you know, if you're a single guy, you're
welcome. I hope that, um, that the Faithful Agent podcast is a place where many, many young men meet
the woman of their dreams. And that's a strange thing to say out loud. So. Okay. Um. Okay. Is your name
Faith? Because you're the substance of things I've hoped for. Uh, that's. That's pretty funny, actually. Um,
I'm usually not very prophetic, but I can see us together. That's funny. Okay, time for the episode. The
average agent wakes up and immediately enters reaction mode because they've got texts, emails showing
requests, transaction fires, notification, and because the day starts reactive, their whole life becomes
reactive. There's no intentional scoreboard. It's just chasing the industry. It's always being available. It's
the speed to lead culture. Like we must be available 24 over seven to our clients. And that's the only way
we can have good customer service. But the problem is that mindset trains people to surrender ownership
of their day. And if you don't tell your day where to go, somebody else will. So for years, my mornings
started like this. I accomplished the three L's before 1115. I'd start at nine. I'd be done by 1115 because I
believe that each day in your business, your job is to push your mind and your business forward. And if
you can do that almost every single day, you're going to beat 99% of agents out there, because imagine
it's not just about one day. Imagine the compounding effect. So I did this for years in a row. This is how I
started my day for years. Imagine the compounding effect of reading for an hour every single day, 50
weeks a year. That's a lot of days 250 hours each year. Now imagine the compounding effect of doing
that. For five years now, we've reached over 1000 hours of learning the compounding effect that things I
knew now that I didn't when I started. Imagine the compounding effect of lead generation one hour a day
for five years now, thousand hours of lead generation in the compounding effect of that. So I would start
and I want to explain to you because this can change everything. For years, my morning started with
learning. I would almost always read a book, but maybe I was watching a training video from a coaching
program I was in, or I was watching a YouTube training that was specific to something I was trying to
learn. But most often I was reading something because readers are leaders and leaders are learners, right?
The input that you put into your mind is what's going to determine the output. Albert Einstein once said
that you can't solve problems at the same level of thinking that created them. So if you're just having the
same thoughts over and over and over again, guess what? You're not doing solving problems because the
problem that created it is what your mind was currently thinking. We've got to have new thoughts, new
ideas. We've got to learn new things. And sharpening our thinking sharpens our business. I think that the
person you become matters far more than the tactics that you implement. Now, most agents might spend
time scrolling social media, then developing their mind or scrolling social media and say, I learned
something, I learned this, I learned that, but your business can't outgrow your thinking. You are the cap
on your own business. If your mind does not grow, your business can't either. So I want you to think
about the first thing I can do is what do I need to learn? Now, it might not be that you spend an hour
every single day. I get it, everybody has different scenarios. Maybe you spend 20 minutes and you just
read for 20 minutes. You lead, generate for 20 minutes, and then you intentionally tell your day where to
go for 20 minutes. You spend an hour doing it. But I know that when you grow your mind first thing in
the morning, you stop entering your day mentally behind. If you want to have success in this industry the
way that you think must change. Hey friends, we're pressing pause on today's episode for a second
because if you're a real estate agent feeling buried by pressure chaos, feeling like you're always on and
constantly chasing the next deal. This is for you. So many of us agents are doing everything we're told to
do. Cold outreach in this training's non-stop hustle. But we still feel stuck wondering, okay, now what's
next? We're changing that through this three month group cohort designed to help agents build a business
fueled exclusively by referrals. No fluff, no vague motivation, just the exact step by step systems,
strategies and support to help you grow sustainably and finally, do business differently. This is the exact
step by step system strategies and support that took Lindsay's business in Wyoming from 15 to 43 sales
in just one year. So if you're ready to stop operating from pressure and start building a business that
honors God with clarity and confidence. Check out the show notes of this episode to book a discovery
call with the team and me. Second Li generate the second L, because this is where it becomes a little bit
more practical. So I would read for an hour, I would learn something, then I would lead generate for an
hour before distractions, before chaos, before anyone else could steal my attention. I was sitting there
pushing my business forward. I'd already pushed my mind forward. And then I'm now I'm pushing my
business forward. And we all know that consistency wins over creativity. Intentionality wins over chaos,
right? Predictable input into my system wins over unpredictable input into a not system. Right? Because
when you have consistently shown up to do the right activity, your business will consistently show up for
you. Put it another way when you consistently show up for your people, your database, they will
consistently show up for you. You know, the most productive agents that I've ever coached aren't
necessarily more talented, they're just way more intentional, and most of the time they're just more
intentional with their mornings. Now here's what I learned five years of doing this. The compounding
effect your mornings create your momentum. Lead generation done early in the day. Learning done early
in the day creates freedom. Later, I'd read from 9 to 10. I'd lead generate from 10 to 11. Then I launch.
Even if my day ended at 11, I still had a better day than almost every other agent. I pushed my mind and
my business forward. And finally, the third L launch, I spent 15 intentional minutes telling my day where
to go. Because if you don't tell your day where to go, you will wonder where it went. So I was going to
review my calendar. I was going to look at the priorities I had for the day, or who are the people I needed
to follow up with, right? What what actually is going to matter today? And I just put that in my calendar.
Now, maybe I knew that we had active buyers and so I needed to leave some space. Right. Maybe I left 3
to 5 open. So in case I needed to show a house or whatever the scenario was, but I was going to try to tell
my day where to go. Most people on the opposite of that are drifting into their day, and I wanted to
launch into my I wanted to be intentional with my day. When I launched, that was where I aligned my
day with my priorities instead of my pressures. There's things we have to do that nobody wants to do in
the first place. I get it. That's just the reality of it. However, most of us could really benefit from having
some intentional time in the morning. By 1115, I had sharpened my mind. I had moved my business
forward, and I had intentionally directed my day. Where to go now? That included leaving open space,
but that's powerful. I had pushed my mind and my business forward because now, even if the rest of the
day became reactive, if needed, I'd still already won. And that's the big idea. Most agents hope to have
productive days. Good agents intentionally engineer them. Now, you don't need to control every hour of
your life, but if you can control your morning, you dramatically increase the odds of controlling your
future. Do the three L's. Learn, lead. Generate and launch. Grow your mind. Move your business. Direct
your day. Because success rarely happens by accident, it happens through intentional rhythms repeated
over time. Control your day before noon and you'll eventually control your business and your life. I love
you, faithful agents. I will see you next time. Hey Christian agent, I hope you enjoyed today's episode. If
